Our Translation Process

We approach every project with care, precision, and purpose. Each project moves through three clear phases:

PHASE 1

Planning

  • Identify country and language
  • Find Language partner
  • Find International partner
  • Choose Book for Project
  • Formulate Goals
  • Calculate Total Cost
PHASE 2

Fundraising

  • Execute Communication Plan
  • Secure Original Source Document
  • Agreement w/ Language Partner
  • Agreement w/ International Partner who is Theologically Trained or Equipped
  • Secure Financial Backing
PHASE 3

Execute

  • Drafting: Produce a Rough Translation
  • Translation: Language Partner Manually Edits Every Word to Smooth Out the Translation
  • Theological Check: International Partner Proofs Final Draft and Ensures No Theological Nuances are Lost
  • Formatting & Cover Design
  • Publishing (e-book / hardcopies)
  • Dissemination (Books in Hands)

  • In this step, the goal is to take the translation from source document (T-0) to rough translation (T-1)

  • We utilized multiple software and AI models to create the rough translation

Step 1: Drafting

  • In this step, we take it from rough translation (T-1) to smooth translation (T-2)

  • We team up with a Language Partner (fluent in English and the translation language)

  • Our Language Partner manually checks every word of the translation for word errors, language nuance, and grammar deficiencies

Step 2: Translating

  • In this step, the goal is to go from a smooth translation (T-2) to a final document (T-3)

  • We team up with an International Partner who is theologically equipped or trained (a native speaker and someone who lives in the country)

  • Our International Partner provides another layer of editing to ensure accuracy but also is checking for theological nuance so that nothing is lost in translation

Step 3: Proofing

  • In this step, we go from final document (T-3) to actual books

  • The translation will go through typesetting and any final edits

  • A graphic designer will produce a cover design

  • Once complete, we produce the following deliverables all free of charge:

    • eBook formats in English and translation language on the RTP website

    • hard copies in translation language shipped to our International Partner

Step 4: Publishing

A Note on International Partners:

  • We prioritize working with in-country pastors and missionaries, allowing us to both strengthen their ministry while providing meaningful, supplemental financial support—helping them remain on the field. In this way, the Puritans continue to fuel missions even today.
